Audi Unearthed Teaser Site for A7 Sportback

(July 14, 2010 )

The upscale Audi model is expected to give a stiff competition to the competing Mercedes-Benz CLS. Engines of the A7 will be the same as you have seen available in the A6, giving buyers a choice for petrol and diesel units. According to a media speculation, Audi may expand the range later next year to accommodate a gasoline-electric hybrid model.

The German automaker is understood to be gearing up to bring the new A7 conceptbased on the 2009 Sportback Concept. The teaser site that was launched in Netherlands has not revealed anything significant, though.

Taking its first step forward, Audi has recently launched a teaser site for its upcoming A7 model, upgrading the Audi A6 model series. Going by the teaser appearance and media speculation, the all-new glamorous Audi A7 will be a low roofline fastback. The five-door concept of the vehicle is likely to be unveiled soon, says an informed auto expert. However, the Sportback name-tag might be missing this time, adds the expert.

Significant tech specs of the new Audi include colossal alloy wheels, large front air intakes, Ingolstadt’s 3.0-liter supercharged V6 TFSI engine, aggressive brakes and quad-outlet exhaust tips.

Design of the Audi A7 seems to take much longer time than was expected. Initially, the car was scheduled for the Moscow Auto Show this August; however, now the vehicle is being readied for its public debut at the Paris Auto Show in October.
