Spyker to Give the Saab Aero-X Concept a New Lease of Life

(March 15, 2010 )

At the 2006 Geneva Show, Saab unveiled its supercar concept, the Aero-X , that quite successfully caught the attention of the auto world leaving many wanting the concept to actually transform into production. After four long years of waiting it seems that this forgotten dream will soon be fulfilled as the Saab savior, Victor Muller, pins positive hopes in that direction.

In a related news, GMAC has been chosen as the financial service provider to Saab Automobiles. GMAC Financial Services will now be the preferred provider of wholesale and retail financial services for qualified Saab dealers and customers across the world.

According to sources, Victor Muller has expressed his desire to revive the Aero-X, hinting at plans to build a supercar based on the concept. Not only this, the Dutch manager outlines bigger plans to make the model more special using the C8 Aileron platform. The new car will carry Scandinavian styling with Dutch mechanics and drivetrain. A cool combination that is definitely worth waiting for.

Bill Muir, GMAC President said, “We are delighted to be able to build on our strong relationships with Saab dealers and customers, and we look forward to working with Saab as it begins a new chapter in its history.”
