Geneva 2010: Citroen Launches the Special Edition DS3 Racing

Completing the Citroen series of ?vehicles that were especially preserved for their worldwide debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the Citroen DS3 Racing was one hot hatch that well pleased the Audi ence. The hot version of the forthcoming Mini John Cooper Works rival boosts Citroen’s new DS range?taking the French firm into market with some of the best premium small hatches.

The limited edition DS3 Racing carries an extensive makeover from styling to aerodynamics to?performance. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine capable of producing 197 bhp and 203 lb-ft of torque. Citroen Racing is also fitted with a 15-millimeter lower but stiffened sport suspension, new front and rear shock absorbers, tightened steering, widened ?rear tracks by 30 mm and uprated brakes and a new exhaust.

Styling upgrades include?host of carbon finished body panels, semi-rigid front bumper, new lower body trim and wing extensions, a rear spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels and side-door moldings. The grey and orange theme from the exterior body echoes in the interiors of the DS3 Racing with orange coloured instrument panel and gearknob with carbon trim on the dash, centre console and steering wheel.

The special edition DS3 Racing will be limited to 1,000 units and has been estimated to be priced from £20,000. The car will go on sale in the second half of 2010.
