Revealed by Rikard Orell Design Director at Volvo Trucks in a press release, the panel is operated like a touchpad similar to iPhone in order to save large amount of space.
Yes, 2020 is a decade away, but that doesn¡¯t stop the Swedish maker from thinking about its futuristic trucks that aim to offer a unique experience to the drivers. ?Giving a glimpse of the Volvo Concept Truck 2020 design concept, the company is highlighting the company¡¯s vision of how it wishes to design its future offerings in the truck segment. According to the automaker, the new trucks will give drivers a ¡°spacious, airy and free of disruption¡± environment changing significantly the experience while driving.
The exteriors feature LED headlamps, turn indicators integrated into the front and cameras replacing the rear-view mirrors.
I am sure all these changes must have excited many of you out there but I will have to interrupt your imagination as of now. That¡¯s because design specialists at Volvo Trucks are still a little apprehensive as to whether the final product would look the same. But Orell seems quite confident and positive.
“Progress is getting ever faster. Because of this our vision for the future is not that far away. Much of the technology in the Volvo conceptTruck 2020 is already available, other technology needs to be developed,¡± he said.
