Geneva 2010: TAG Heuer-Tesla Unveil Roadster to Celebrate 150 years of TAG Heuer

(March 7, 2010 )

When one of the finest watch-making companies in history celebrates its 150th anniversary, the celebrations ought to be a little special. Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has done just what the doctor ordered. It has decided to enter into collaboration with Electric Car maker Tesla Motors to launch a TAG Heuer-Tesla theme Roadster at the Geneva Motor Show.

It is no secret that TAG Heuer has been associated with the most prestigious racing teams historically but this is the first time they have decided to forge a partnership with an Electric Car company. There are no prizes for guessing that the Roadster will have features developed by the aesthetically gifted TAG Heuer workshops.

The design of the car features red mirror covers, calipers and striped rims on the driver's side. The same equipment is featured in green on the passengers' side. "Technology whether worn on the wrist or driven on the road can help us live our lives in a better way". That was seemingly the inspiration behind developing this car which has imbibed TAG Heuer's cutting edge technology from its Concept watches.

The Roadster is a speedster's dream machine and boasts of reaching speeds of 60mph in just 3.9 seconds. The console at the car centre has been designed specifically to house a concept TAG Heuer watch that is due for release at this year's Baselworld. So, a?lot to look forward to guys!! It will not be long before your thirst for glamour is quenched.
